Acutrans, a language translation Company (“Acutrans”) endeavors to protect your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy addresses Acutrans’s practices regarding information collected from users of the Acutrans-ls.com (“Site”). This Privacy Policy does not address or govern any information-gathering, use, or dissemination practices related to information collected from you other than directly through or from the Site, such as from other websites, telephone, facsimile, postal mail, personal delivery, or other or additional offline means or media.

At your request, Acutrans will confirm what personally identifiable information it collects or holds about you, and will correct, update and/or remove such information. You may contact Acutrans for any of the foregoing via our Contact Us form. If you ask that Acutrans stops using or sharing your personally identifiable information, we will honor that request. However, Acutrans may retain records of your personally identifiable information for a period; for example, to follow-up on a request, resolve a dispute or for similar reasons or in order to comply with applicable federal, state, or local law. In addition, some personal information may also continue to be stored on back-up files for financial, legal, or technical reasons. Additionally, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (also known as the “Shine the Light” law) permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Compliance

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, 15 U.S.C., §§ 6501-06 and 16 C.F.R., §§ 312.1-312.12, the website does not permit children under 13 years of age to become users, and we do not intentionally collect information from children. Controlling Law and Venue

It is understood and agreed that all the construction and interpretation of this Agreement and the relationship between the parties shall always and in all respects be governed by the internal laws of Illinois, without giving effect to the conflict of law’s provisions thereof.  Venue of any action brought to enforce or relating to this Agreement or arising out of the relationship between the parties shall be brought in state or Federal courts of competent jurisdiction in Cook County, IL.

Security

The confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to or from Acutrans via the Site or via email cannot be, and is not, guaranteed. You acknowledge that the technical processing and transmission of content via the Site may be transferred unencrypted and involve: (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting to networks or devices. Accordingly, Acutrans is not responsible for the security of information transmitted via the Site or the Internet generally.

We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard data and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect online. We have a firewall to prevent unauthorized access from third parties; all data and web servers are stored in secure facilities that can be accessed only by authorized personnel; all credit card transactions occur in a secure, third party, encrypted SSL environment and are not stored on our servers or in log files.  You acknowledge that no electronic storage method or data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Website Availability

Because public networks, such as the internet, occasionally experience disruptions, Sosland cannot guarantee the website will be available 100% of the time.  Although Acutrans strives to provide the most reliable website possible, interruptions and delays in accessing the website are unavoidable and Acutrans disclaims any liability for damages resulting from such problems.

Updating this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. You should check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of this Site following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be considered your consent to those changes.

Questions or Concerns

Acutrans and acutrans.com may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Content or website for any reason, including, without limitation, breach or assignment of the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. The terms and conditions of this privacy policy do not give the user any legal cause of action against Acutrans, nor do they create any duty or liability to any user by their existence.  In all cases, Acutrans retains full power to interpret and enforce these rights, and the final decision will be made by Acutrans.  Acutrans retains the final and sole right to approve or deny any user request arising under this privacy policy.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Acutrans will refund or credit you 100% of any project cost or milestone if we receive written notice of cancellation before we have assigned the project or milestone to a translator.  In the event that we receive written notice of cancellation after a project or milestone has reached ten percent (10%) of any scope of work or milestone, Acutrans will be under no obligation to issue any refund or credit.  You agree that any amount retained or billed by Acutrans for services which you cancel at or beyond ten percent (10%) are not punitive, but only serve to compensate Acutrans for Acutrans expending the time and resources to ensure that we were able to complete your project or milestone.

Payment is due upon invoicing, and once Acutrans receives your payment in full for all services performed, we will release the finished, final translation to you.  At Acutrans’ sole discretion, we may deviate from these terms and allow well qualified, corporate clients to make payment up to thirty (30) days after the completion of a project.
